Smart result: Our own flexible warehouse
SMART lighting is also represented in our warehouse here in Nieuwkoop. Motion sensors ensure well-lit aisles when there is movement. If there is no movement after 3 minutes, the lighting dims to 15% of the maximum output within 1.5 minutes. After 60 minutes of inactivity, the sensors switch off the lighting. The sensors command the luminaires based on motion detection or a specific time frame, operating on a DALI system. Each aisle works independently, optimizing savings!
Transitioning from old TL light lines to LED light lines has already resulted in a significant reduction of 13,086 KG of CO2 emissions per year. With the current sensors, we anticipate an additional 75% savings! This translates to a 75% reduction in power consumption by incorporating a few sensors. Annually, the extra sensor implementation leads to a CO2 emission saving of 9,814 KG.
In total, we have saved 21,513 KG of CO2 this year. To put it in perspective, an average household emits 19,000 KG of CO2 annually. So, we have saved more than an entire house. The number of kWh used for lighting in the warehouse is currently 84% lower than a few years ago.

Smart result: XLH LED Luminaires Shine in the Iconic Sluishuis Project, Amsterdam
Last week we visited the Sluishuis project in Amsterdam. This iconic utility project is located near the A10 motorway and graces the IJmeer with its design.
Of course this visit was not without reason, the staircases in the Sluishuis are filled with Lumiparts XLH led luminaires. These are equipped with efficient motion sensors, so the lighting does its job when visitors enter the stairwell.

Smart result: Stringline Lighting Transforms Acushnet's Helmond Distribution Center
The European distribution center of Acushnet, a distributor of golf equipment throughout Europe, is located in Helmond. This Acushnet distribution center in Helmond has recently been made more sustainable through our 'Stringline'.
The Stringline is a light line system that is characterized by easy installation, good light output and high light uniformity. In addition, this fixture offers a light output of 160lm/w and is equipped with smart motion sensors, which saves on energy costs and allows warehouse staff to work safely.
